Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of roundsems.com and the Rounds NREMT prep app. By using either, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Who we are

Rounds is operated by Rounds Education LLC, a Florida limited liability company. When these terms say "Rounds," "we," "us," or "our," we mean Rounds Education LLC. When they say "you" or "your," we mean the person using the site or the app.

What Rounds is

Rounds is an NREMT exam preparation tool built by working EMS instructors. It includes this website (roundsems.com) and the Rounds mobile app, along with related study materials such as the NREMT Survival Guide. The service is offered to you for personal, non-commercial study purposes.

NREMT trademark and affiliation

NREMT® and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians® are registered trademarks of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, an Ohio non-profit corporation (U.S. Reg. Nos. 3070225 and 3075762). The National Registry was not involved in the creation or production of Rounds, is not in any way affiliated with it, and does not sponsor or endorse it. We use the name only to identify the exam our material helps you prepare for.

Your account

You need an account to use the Rounds app. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials safe, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

You must be at least 16 years old to use Rounds.

What you can do

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use Rounds for your own study, subject to these terms.

What you cannot do

• Copy, scrape, mirror, resell, or redistribute our questions, explanations, study guides, or other content.
• Share your account with anyone or use the same account across multiple people.
• Reverse engineer the app or attempt to access it through unofficial means.
• Use Rounds to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI/ML model without our written permission.
• Use Rounds in any way that breaks the law, harms other users, or interferes with the service.

Our content

All questions, explanations, study guides, graphics, text, and other materials we provide are owned by Rounds Education LLC or our licensors and are protected by U.S. and international copyright and other intellectual property laws. We keep all rights not expressly granted in these terms.

Your content

If you submit feedback, notes, bug reports, or any other content to us, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, modify, and incorporate that content into Rounds. You confirm that you have the right to share whatever you send us.

Community content and conduct

Parts of Rounds show content that other students created. Your display name, username, certification level, state, and score are visible to other students on the leaderboard and to anyone you add as a friend.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. Do not choose a name, username, or avatar that is obscene, sexually explicit, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, harassing, or that impersonates another person or organization. Do not harass, threaten, or bully another student through any part of Rounds.

Every leaderboard and friends entry carries a menu that lets you report the student or block them. Blocking hides that student from your leaderboard and friends list immediately. We review every report within 24 hours and remove the content, and we suspend or permanently remove accounts that break this section. You can also email us at hello@roundsems.com.

Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

Rounds has a free tier and a paid tier. The free tier gives you a fixed allowance of questions at no cost, with no card and no trial. The website and the NREMT Survival Guide are free.

Rounds Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. The price is $9.99 per month in the United States; in other countries Apple charges the equivalent local price, which is shown to you on the App Store purchase sheet before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.

Your subscription renews automatically every month, and it keeps renewing until you cancel it. Apple charges the renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period. To cancel, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, tap Rounds EMS, then tap Cancel Subscription. You must cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge. Cancelling stops future charges and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds. Apple, not Rounds Education LLC, processes all payments and all refunds for in-app purchases. We cannot issue, guarantee or reverse a charge made through the App Store. To request a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase. Apple decides refund requests under its own policies. If you believe you were charged in error, email hello@roundsems.com and we will help you assemble the request, but the decision is Apple's.

Price changes. If we change the price of Rounds Pro, Apple will notify you and ask you to agree before the new price applies to your subscription. If you do not agree, your subscription will not renew at the new price.

Changes to the service

We may add, change, or remove features at any time, and we may stop offering parts of the service for any reason. We will give reasonable notice for material changes that affect paid features.

Termination

You may stop using Rounds at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if your use is causing harm, or if we stop offering the service. The sections of these terms that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive termination.

Disclaimer of warranties

Rounds is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that using Rounds will cause you to pass the NREMT exam or any other exam.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rounds Education LLC and its officers, members, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of or related to your use of Rounds. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or the service will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Rounds Education LLC harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of Rounds, your content, or your violation of these terms or the law.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of the page, and for significant changes we will give notice on the site or by email. Continued use of Rounds after changes means you accept the updated terms.

Other

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Rounds about the service.
